Job description

Precision meets creativity in this role. As our Pre-production/Process Engineer, you'll be the critical link between customer vision and production-floor execution — turning artwork and blueprints into flawless, ready-to-run job tickets for our Screen Print Department.

You'll own the details that keep production moving: optimizing workflows, building accurate parts and blueprints, proofing customer artwork, and verifying screens and inks before they hit the line. Your eye for quality and knack for process will directly shape how smoothly — and how well — every job comes together.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily job entry (New) using company ERP system
  • Participate in New Product Review
  • Create BP’s for new parts
  • Create Artwork, proofs, screen layouts, and Artwork Layouts for all screen and digitally printed parts
  • Update existing BP’s and part master notes
  • Develop notes based on similar jobs and processing knowledge
  • Process Control of new production jobs and part masters
  • Support Sales/Production with any issues that may come up
  • Review manufacturing starting quantities based on historical data
  • Update Bill of Materials (BoM’s) when creating part masters
  • Work with purchasing to create new PO’s for new and repeat screen orders
  • Inspect and check in screens and inks from vendors
  • Double-check the Screen Print Department has materials needed to do each job (inks and screens)
  • Order inks for screen print
  • Create color chips for new inks
  • Test new inks
  • Support Screen Print Department and production floor with daily operations
  • Pull films and frames to be shipped to vendors for repeat screen orders
  • Must be able to report to work as scheduled and on time
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies:

  • Adobe Illustrator
  • AutoCAD (not required, but a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage a high volume of emails and effectively monitor and respond in a timely manner
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time efficiently, and adapt to an ever-changing workday
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Typing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years prepress/printing experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office required                   
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator required
