Job description

Position: Corporate Human Resources Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources
POSITION Description: The Corporate Human Resources Manager will manage the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for our company. The Human Resource Manager manages the day-to-day human resources activities of LifeSkills Connection Inc. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. Directly supervises the Human Resources Generalist.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment amp; Staffing
  • Develop and update job descriptions across all entities
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Partner with department leaders to forecast staffing needs
Employee Onboarding amp; Offboarding
  • Oversee new-hire orientation, training schedules, and integration into the organization
  • Manage offboarding processes including resignations, terminations, exit interviews, and final pay compliance
  • Oversee separation documentation and COBRA notices
Employee Relations
  • Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and workplace guidance
  • Conduct routine investigations involving performance issues, conduct violations, or complaints; escalate complex/high-risk matters to VP of HR
  • Coach supervisors on corrective action, documentation, and performance conversations
Compliance — Local, State, Federal amp; Contracts
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Oversee I-9 / E-Verify / immigration documentation
  • Manage records retention policies, personnel file management, required postings
  • Manage records requests, subpoenas, and employment verifications
  • Manage ADA accommodations and the interactive process
  • Oversee Safety / OSHA compliance requirements
  • Manage unemployment claims in coordination with HR Generalist
  • Review and update employee handbooks, HR policies, and procedures
  • Track state-specific requirements for multi-state employers
Benefits amp; Leave Administration
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and leaves
  • Manage open enrollment process
  • Oversee leave of absence administration (FMLA, state PFML)
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and reporting
Performance Management
  • Lead performance review cycles; guide managers on goal setting and evaluations
  • Support development plans, coaching, and performance improvement plans (PIPs)
  • Own first-line performance management program; escalate to VP of HR as needed
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning
Training amp; Development
  • Assess organizational training needs across all entities
  • Develop or coordinate compliance training (harassment prevention, safety, etc.)
  • Facilitate and support leadership development and employee skill-building programs
HR Operations amp; HRIS Management
  • Oversee maintenance of the HRIS system and ensure data accuracy
  • Produce HR metrics and reports: turnover, staffing, compliance, and engagement trends
  • Oversee garnishments processing
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Partner with VP of HR and executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational design
  • Support M amp;A integration (people-side) in partnership with VP of HR
  • Implement policy decisions approved by VP of HR
  • Support culture initiatives, employee engagement, and retention strategies
  • Ensure HR strategies align with business goals and organizational values

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 5–7 years human resources management experience
  • Experience in government contracting a plus
  • Experience with multi-industry business mix a plus
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
