Quality Control Manager Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Manager, responsible for implementing and administering the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Program on federally funded construction projects. This role ensures full compliance with contract documents, approved plans and specifications, and applicable government standards, including USACE/NAVFAC/DoD requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact with Government Quality Assurance (QA) personnel and will oversee inspections, testing, documentation, and corrective actions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementing and enforcing the approved CQC Plan
  • Conducting daily quality inspections and managing the three-phase control process
  • Coordinating with Government QA representatives and attending required QC meetings
  • Reviewing submittals, coordinating testing, and maintaining QC documentation
  • Identifying deficiencies and ensuring timely corrective actions
  • Supporting project closeout, final inspections, and turnover documentation

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Control Management in Federal Construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, conceptual drawings, and SOWs.
  • Familiarity with design-build methods.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive internal teams toward timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Familiarity in project management software (RMS, Primavera P6, Procore, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • OSHA-30, EM 385-1-1, and current CQM-C Certification (*preferred or must be obtained upon hire).
