Dockmaster Security Officer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Overview

Unitus Security is seeking a professional, customer-focused Dockmaster Security Officer to join our team at a premier Class A commercial property. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all loading dock operations, vendor deliveries, contractor access, and service vehicle coordination.

The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, organized, and enjoys helping others while maintaining a secure environment. We hire smiling faces! Successful Dockmasters build strong relationships with tenants, vendors, contractors, property management, and fellow officers while ensuring dock operations run safely, efficiently, and professionally.

This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and a commitment to providing world-class customer service. Availability to work weekends and flexibility in scheduling may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily loading dock operations and vehicle traffic flow.
  • Verify delivery appointments, work orders, and vendor authorizations.
  • Control access for vendors, contractors, service personnel, and delivery drivers.
  • Coordinate dock scheduling and communicate effectively with property management and tenant representatives.
  • Monitor dock activities to ensure compliance with property policies and safety requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming and outgoing deliveries when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, visitors, vendors, and incidents.
  • Utilize computer systems, access control platforms, and communication tools to document activity.
  • Respond professionally to tenant, vendor, and visitor inquiries.
  • Enforce property rules, regulations, and code of conduct standards.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and property management when necessary.
  • Assist with security patrols and provide support to other security personnel as needed.
  • Build and maintain trust and camaraderie with officers, tenants, vendors, contractors, and guests.
  • Provide a hospitality-driven experience while maintaining security and operational standards.
