Job description

Wurster Betterground is looking for motivated, creative, and willing-to-learn candidates with an interest in being part of the estimating, design, and construction phases of ground improvement projects.

Project Engineers work in close coordination with Senior Project Engineers and Operations staff to bid and execute geotechnical projects throughout the Southeast.

While extensive training in geotechnical contracting will be provided by senior staff, the end goal of this position is to allow project engineers to work autonomously on the execution of projects and their other job functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Estimating quantities, performing settlement/stability calculations, and writing proposals
  • Coordinating ground improvement design & verification testing
  • Visiting job sites to observe methods and testing
  • Attending trade shows and professional development sessions
  • Visiting consultants, general contractors, engineering firms, and other trade partners to build WBG?s market share
  • Coordinating with operations, senior project engineers, and general contractor/owner representatives to ensure successful execution of projects
  • Tracking project progress and performance metrics and tracking/approving project costs and invoices
