Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Sheet Metal Position to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment. This includes ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industry standards, blueprints, and technical specifications to deliver high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and Installation: Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal according to specifications. Install fabricated sheet metal products according to job requirements.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and follow blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to ensure accurate construction and installation.
  • Tool Use: Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment used in fabricating and installing sheet metal products.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect work to ensure conformity to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular maintenance on sheet metal products and systems. Repair damaged or worn parts as needed.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and standards. Ensure work areas are clean and safe.
