Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking, dependable Trenching Apprentice to join our crew. This is a hands-on position for someone eager to continue learning trenching, excavation, and concrete work in support of our electrical installation projects. We're looking for someone with a foundation of trenching experience who is ready to build on those skills under the guidance of our experienced crew members.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with digging and preparing trenches for underground electrical conduit and cabling
  • Help with pouring, forming, finishing, and repairing concrete as needed
  • Learn to operate hand tools and light equipment (e.g., trenchers, compactors, saws)
  • Assist with backfilling and compacting trenches to code and job requirements
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
  • Take direction from lead trench/concrete workers and project supervisors
  • Learn to read basic site plans and job specifications over time
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of trenching experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, digging, and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with a clean driving record
