Job description

We are hiring experienced Carpenter Helpers/Apprentices to work on Commercial Construction projects. Position will directly report to Superintendents and Project Managers.

  • ย Must be willing to travel 100% of the time
  • Have a valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately understanding construction plans and specifications to execute carpentry tasks correctly.
  • Precisely measuring and cutting lumber to ensure proper fit and finish on walls, floors, and other structures.
  • Building the basic framework of a building using studs, joists, and other structural lumber.
  • Installing prefabricated or custom-built cabinets, doors, windows, and trim work.
  • Constructing unique wooden elements like counters, shelving, and decorative accents as needed.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Working effectively with other construction crews like electricians and plumbers to coordinate project completion.
  • Following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear while operating power tools.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • Willing to train the right person.

Requirements:

  • Stable work history highlighting reliability and commitment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Commercial Carpentry experience.
  • Expertise in using various hand tools (saws, planes, chisels) and power tools (table saw, miter saw, drills)Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to accurately measure, calculate angles, and interpret dimensions.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Collaborating effectively with other construction workers and communicating project needs.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must possess a valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Bilingual a plus
