A national specialty contractor is looking for a creative and motivated Construction Account/Project Manager who will take the helm of a well-established profit center in the greater Seattle area.ย We would like to hire someone with an established customer base and grow it to the next level. Working closely with your team ofย estimators, account managers, and administrative staff, you will develop a strong customer base, seek bid opportunities, estimate, and prepare proposals, and ensure successful project execution.

Working closely with your team of estimators, account managers, and administrative staff, you will develop a strong customer base, seek bid opportunities, estimate, and prepare proposals, and ensure successful project execution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and manage the sales strategy for the market and seek out opportunities to bid contracts that fulfill that strategy
  • Develop customer relationships to ensure preferred vendor status
  • Solicit bid packages, estimate, and prepare proposals for submission to customers.
  • Effectively manage all team members for successful execution of jobs, timely customer billing, project schedules
  • Control profit recognition, job control percentages, and the collection of receivables
  • Keep safety as a core value for all parties involved in construction projects
  • Be instrumental in instrumental in growing those relationships and hiring a team of professionals who can fulfill the needs of our customers. Examples are industrial or commercial coatings, insulation, mechanical contractors, and similar.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years construction or subcontracting experience
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience in a construction or subcontractor setting
  • Experience in industrial or commercial insulation, coatings, mechanical contracting or similar is required
  • Account Manager or Project Manager experience in construction or related industry

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates or bachelorโ€™s degree in construction management, finance, business administration or a related field preferred
  • Exhibit a spirit of cooperation & teamwork
  • Enthusiasm and strong work ethic
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills a must
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
