Job description

Job Title: Records Keeper - Dining Facility Operations
Location: Roy M. Wheat Galley Dining Facility, NAS Meridian, MS
Hours: Mon-Sun
Key Duties:
  • Requisition stores and document daily transactions in accordance with NAVSUP P-486.
  • Maintain accurate financial records to support all required reports, records, and returns.
  • Post subsistence item receipts within three (3) business days.
  • Manage all matters related to financial management and accountability for the general mess.
  • Maintain the General Mess Control Record (NAVSUP Form 338) within two (2) current working days.
  • Support and utilize web-based reporting and accounting systems.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum seven (7) years of accounting experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in the Food Service Management Program (FSM) or completion of an approved FSM course.
  • Computer literacy with the ability to operate and support web-based reporting systems.
