Job description

Job Title: SATCOM RF Technician Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: CACI is looking for a SATCOM RF Engineer who will develop and apply advanced Radio Frequency engineering theories, methods, and research techniques to investigate and solve complex technical problems and projects. You will plan and direct projects or major phases of projects and provide technical direction to and coordinate the efforts of engineers and technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects in areas such as design, development, and testing of radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products. Responsibilities: * Perform remote troubleshooting and analysis of satellite systems to ensure proper operation and minimize downtime.
* Provision and test systems and equipment before shipment to minimize any on-site delay and provide quality assurance.
* Configure and maintain remote monitoring and control software, utilizing custom and commercially available tools.
* Perform analysis of measured data, to modify network design and enhance performance.
* Devise test plans, test site scheduling, equipment calibration and setup, RF signal measurement, and data analysis.
* Measure field data to identify RF signal frequencies and respective powers and detect any deviation or possible interference.
* Compiles and evaluates test data, prepares technical analysis, and recommends methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes. Qualifications: Required: * Requires a minimum of 6 years experience in RF or SATCOM engineering experience.
* Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
* 5+ years with design, development, and testing of radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture
* 5+ years testing RF equipment Desired: * Must be flexible and adaptable to changing needs and requirements.
* Must be a self-starter and able to work independently or in a group setting. Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on a computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face-to-face. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
