Overview

SOSi is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to join our team supporting maintenance and repair with an emphasis on glass replacement, brakes and suspension work of our government customers' vehicles.

Essential Job Duties

  • Service a wide range of foreign and domestic sedans, trucks, SUVs, and vans both armored and un-armored (with the priority on armored).
  • Conduct vehicle condition inspections.
  • Work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while also maintaining experience and skills with traditional hand tools.
  • Use specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools to include, but not limited to: scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
  • Understand and use vehicle electrical schematics.
  • Perform required administrative paperwork for vehicle repairs and diagnostics.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have current SECRET government security clearance.
  • Minimum 3 years of vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Possess ASE certification.
  • Possess mobile HVAC certification.
  • Experience in vehicle condition inspections.
  • Technically trained to work with computerized shop equipment and electronic components while also maintaining experience and skills with traditional hand tools.
  • Experience with, and training in, using specific manufacturers and aftermarket diagnostic tools to include, but not limited to: scan, brake, air conditioning, and transmission tools.
  • Experience with, and training in, understanding and using vehicle electrical schematics.
