Contract Tug Master Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Assists in safe operation of tug under supervision of the Tug Master, follows safety procedures and guidelines pertaining to regulatory guidelines. Also responsible for deck duties pertaining to LNG barge to include but not limited to, making fast, stowing lines, painting, chipping, greasing deck equipment and following orders of the master of the vessel.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Mate 500GT Near Coastal
• Towing Officer Assessment Record (TOAR)
• OICNW (500GT or more)
• STCW with all required endorsements (including but not limited to Radar, VPDSD, Advanced Firefighting & Lifeboatman)
• Current TWIC
• Valid Passport – must be able to travel internationally with no felonies, DUI, or other convictions which would restrict entry into Canada or other nations

Preferred:

• Master 500 Gt Near Coastal
• Mate of Towing Near Coastal
• Master of Towing Near Coastal
• Working Knowledge of LNG Cargo Operations

Minimum Experience:

• Ability to demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in all aspects of Towing and Navigation.
• 540 days on board a towing vessel in a supervisory capacity
• Computer efficiencies with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance Based Programs

Preferred:

• LNG experience

Probation:                     90 workdays

Compensation:            This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Compensation, including hourly wages or salary, benefits, and other terms of employment, will be in accordance with the applicable union contract. Specific pay rates and benefits will be provided during the hiring process and are based on the terms outlined in the agreement.

Probation:                     90 workdays
