Job Description

Position           : Lead Functional and API Automation SIT Testing Engineer

Location          : Reston, VA Onsite

Duration         : Long term contract


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute testing activities for Telecom OSS/BSS projects across functional, integration, and API layers.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for API, database, and system integration testing.
  • Use Python scripting to automate test execution and validation processes.
  • Monitor and analyze Kibana logs and Kafka topics to ensure end-to-end system stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the offshore testing team, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Manage and coordinate with multiple stakeholders for issue resolution, test coverage, and milestone delivery.
  • Maintain and configure SIT test environments, ensuring synchronization with production and development systems.
  • Utilize GitHub for source control, test versioning, and automation script collaboration.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD integration using Jenkins for continuous testing workflows.
  • Design and implement BDD frameworks using Behave and Gherkin language for behavior-driven testing.
  • Track, report, and communicate testing progress, metrics, and defect resolutions effectively to stakeholders.

Technical Profile:

  • Proven experience in SIT (System Integration Testing) within Telecom OSS/BSS environments.
  • Strong proficiency in API automation and Python scripting.
  • Solid experience in database testing, SQL queries, and data validation.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, Jenkins, Kibana, and Kafka for version control, CI/CD, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with BDD frameworks (Behave, Gherkin) for behavior-driven testing.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end integration flows within OSS/BSS systems.
