Job description

Job Title: Systems Architect – Pega Business Architecture (Advanced)

Location: On-site — 101 East Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399. No remote or hybrid option.

Contract Term: 1 Year

Role Summary:
Our client needs a senior Systems Architect to support a multiyear initiative to gather, validate, and analyze business requirements for the development and implementation of Pega-based solutions. This is a newly created position (no incumbent). The Architect will define and document business workflows, facilitate stakeholder collaboration across the Office of Innovation and Technology, and support timely delivery of solutions tied to the Department's operational and strategic goals.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing systems planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software), and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience providing senior-level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding an organization's overall systems architecture.
  • Experience facilitating the establishment and implementation of standards and guidelines guiding technology solution design, including architecting and implementing solutions that integrate multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across an enterprise.
  • Experience reviewing, advising on, and designing standard software and hardware builds, system options, risk/cost/benefit tradeoffs, and business-process impact.
  • Experience developing and documenting frameworks for integrating and implementing changes to technical standards.
  • Experience assisting with development and management of an architecture governance process.
  • Experience providing technical guidance to project teams.
  • Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Able to work on-site in Tallahassee, Florida
  • Certified Pega Business Architect (CPBA).
  • 7+ years of Pega Business Architecture experience.
  • Experience using Pega Blueprint to facilitate requirements gathering and solution design.

Reporting / Deliverables:

  • Weekly status reports to the Department's Contract Manager.
  • Monthly time reports submitted by the 5th of the following month via the OIT Time Log.
  • Technical documentation evidencing compliance with OIT standards and supporting knowledge transfer.
  • Any additional documentation the Contract Manager requires, on the specified timeline.
