Job description

BTI supports mission-critical programs across defense and civilian agencies, with core expertise in cybersecurity, program management, enterprise IT, and technical oversight services.
Position Overview

The Ops Contract Support professional provides operational and administrative contract support for USARCENT logistics activities at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. This position supports requirements development, acquisition coordination, contract tracking, contractor performance monitoring, and documentation management.
The successful candidate will assist government personnel with coordinating contractor deliverables, monitoring contract activities, resolving performance or documentation issues, and maintaining visibility of contract status, milestones, and logistics requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational contract support for USARCENT logistics programs, activities, and requirements.
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, coordinating, and tracking contract requirements and acquisition documentation.
  • Maintain contract files, status reports, correspondence, deliverable schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Track contractor deliverables, milestones, performance requirements, and suspense dates.
  • Monitor contractor performance and identify potential schedule, compliance, cost, or performance issues.
  • Coordinate with government personnel, contracting professionals, program managers, logistics staff, and contractor representatives.
  • Assist with resolving contract-related issues and documenting corrective actions, decisions, and follow-up requirements.
  • Maintain visibility of contract status, funding actions, logistics requirements, and acquisition milestones.
  • Support the preparation of performance reports, contract status updates, briefings, spreadsheets, and other management products.
  • Review contractor submissions and deliverables for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established requirements.
  • Assist with acquisition planning, market research, performance work statements, statements of work, independent government cost estimates, and related contract-support documents, as assigned.
  • Track modifications, task orders, funding documents, invoices, and other contractual actions.
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with applicable federal, Department of Defense, Army, and USARCENT policies and procedures.
  • Protect sensitive and classified information in accordance with established security requirements.
  • Perform other contract and logistics support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience supporting federal contracting, contract administration, acquisition, or contract operations.
  • Experience tracking contract requirements, deliverables, performance, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple requirements and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C), Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification, or an equivalent contracting credential.
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense, U.S. Army, or USARCENT operations.
  • Experience supporting logistics contracts, acquisition planning, contractor performance monitoring, or contract deliverable management.
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations, contract documentation, and government contracting processes.
