Job Description

Candidate may be asked to do various structural analyses including concrete, steel and stainless steel. Candidates must have 10 years+ experience with IBC industry standards and be knowledgeable with current concrete and steel codes, IBC 2018 and a complement of nuclear codes and standards. At least 2 years of experience performing Natural Phenomena Hazard (NPH) evaluations is preferred and experience in seismic walkdowns of nuclear facilities is a plus.

Candidate must be proficient in preparation of design and analysis calculations. Pro2Serve is a fast paced environment with a dynamic workload necessitating efficiency and accuracy. Projects range in size, scale and scope requiring a broad knowledge base and the ability to closely adhere to schedule and budget.

Design and analysis will be required for items and activities in regards to buildings: whole building design for new facilities, existing building modifications, utility and process equipment support fixtures/structures platforms, walk-ways, stairs and fixed ladders, crane and hoist support systems, storage racks, various foundation systems and seismic qualification of equipment. Construction support is also required for some projects.

Structural analysis may include: seismic response, high wind tornado behavior, explosion/blast effects, vibratory or cyclic loadings.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Structural or Civil Engineering required.
  • Must have 10 plus years of Structural Engineering experience.
  • Must have a P.E. License. NCEES record a plus.
  • Working knowledge of IBC 2018, ASCE 7-16, ACI 318-14, AISC Manual 15th ed. and ASCE 8 required. Experience in earlier versions is acceptable. Preference is given to experience with seismic and nuclear codes including ASCE 4, ASCE 41, ASCE 43, AISC N690 and ACI 349.
  • Must have finite element modeling experience. STAAD.Pro and/or GTSTRUDL preferred. Experience with MathCAD and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation and/or Revit preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred

2 years Natural Phenomena Hazard Evaluation
(NPH) experience preferred but not required.

This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
