Senior Project Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager provides strategic oversight and leadership for large-scale and complex electrical projects, often exceeding $5M. This role mentors Project Managers and project support staff ensures operational excellence across multiple jobs, and serves as a key liaison between clients, field operations, and senior leadership. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for project profitability, schedule adherence, and maintaining Brite Electric’s standard of excellence in quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee large and technically complex projects from conception through completion.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement coordination, and execution.
  • Manage project teams, mentoring and supporting junior Project Managers and engineers.
  • Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Review project financial performance and implement corrective actions to protect profitability.
  • Approve change orders, cost forecasts, and subcontractor agreements.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy, reporting timeliness, and compliance with all project requirements.
  • Lead project risk management and dispute resolution efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations to refine company project management standards, processes, and training programs.
  • Represent Brite Electric in high-profile meetings and strategic client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in electrical construction project management.
  • Demonstrated success managing large commercial, institutional, or federal projects over $5M–$15M.
  • Deep knowledge of construction contracts, electrical systems, project scheduling, and cost control.
  • Proficient with project management software and quick learning new technology. (Familiarity with Spectrum, ProjectSight preferred.)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring ability, with proven experience managing teams.
  • OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license required.
  • ABC, DBIA, or PMP certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline is a plus.
