Job description

Title:  Sales Development Representative (SDR)
Location: 1233 W. Monroe Street, Chicago, IL - On-Site role (in Chicago office)
Comp:  $50K-$60K (TBD based on skills/experience)
We’re open to someone who is more junior that’s eager to learn/looking to get into Sales.  
 
Job Description: 
Sales Development Representatives are responsible for qualifying leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel. They must research potential clients, connect with (via cold calls & email) and educate prospects, and qualify leads before handing them off to the sales team.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead management and proactive outbound prospecting
  • Develop an effective pipeline of new projects and customers
  • Generate appointments by means of lead activity management
  • Market company’s solutions to potential customers
  • Work with the marketing to discover opportunities from various leads resources
  • Set up appointments
  • Track and maintain customer contact information and outreach schedule
  • Attend customer meetings as required
  • Participate in sales meetings, local trade shows, and vendor training in order to maintain up to date knowledge.
 
Requirements:
  • 2+ Years’ Experience as a Sales Representative, AE, or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas
  • Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Must have the ability to interact and communicate with individuals across the organization
  • Understanding of workflow systems of the organization, and their various applications to the improvement of customer business processes
  • Effective time management skills, must have the ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Self-Motivated, Team-Oriented, Flexible, Strong Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, constantly prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines
  • Ability to listen and pay attention to details
  • Creative thinker, must have the ability to think effectively, develop ideas and provide solutions
  • Highly enthusiastic and committed to excellence
  • Must be thorough and extremely analytical
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Report to Sales Director on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
