About the Role We are seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As a Maintenance Technician 3, you will be accountable for performing complex maintenance and repair activities on production equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime through advanced troubleshooting and preventative maintenance practices. Shift & Schedule
  • Shift: 3rd
  • Hours: 10 pm- 6:30 am
  • Weekend Availability: Required
Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)
  • Perform complex repairs and preventative maintenance on bakery equipment across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computerized systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving PLCs, instrumentation, and automated control systems to minimize downtime
  • Install, program, and maintain electronic, electrical, and pneumatic control systems and equipment
  • Execute major equipment overhauls, validate repairs, and return systems to operational readiness
  • Support production teams by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and maintaining uptime during scheduled operations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate updates using computerized maintenance management systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety, GMPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, or 6 years of equivalent hands-on experience
  • Experience in instrumentation, measurement, control systems, and industrial mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and control system documentation (e.g., P&IDs, schematics, and layout drawings)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintenance systems and communication
  • Ability to safely operate tools and equipment such as power tools, lifts, and forklifts
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
  • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting PLC software, I/O systems, and field devices
  • Experience working with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in food manufacturing
  • Skills in at least three of the following: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or food process controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and equipment setup and functionality
