Job description

The Architectural Designer is responsible for design and production of construction documents, on limited scope projects, under the supervision of a Sr. Project Coordinator, Project Architect or Project Manager. Capable of basic design, setting up and coordination of the documents, based on standard architectural practices and applicable codes.
Requirements:
An Architectural Designer shall have a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and experience from 1 to 4 years in an architectural firm/field. This position requires general knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, Photoshop and Sketch Up. A basic understanding of architecture, building construction, and building codes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the production of construction documents and specifications.
  • General knowledge of methods, materials and detailing.
  • Ability to complete designated scope of work within allotted time budget.
  • Assist with permitting process, including response to comments.
  • Assist with administrative tasks for bidding procedures and construction administration.
  • Participates in site visits.

Skills:
  • Research and apply applicable basic code issues.
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines.
  • Basic presentation skills.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
