Data Entry Clerk II
Location: Pine Valley, CA 91962
Schedule: Primarily Onsite (5 Days/Week Initially | Opportunity for 1 Remote Day After Training)
Hours: Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM-3:00 PM
Duration: 1-Year Contract with Strong Potential for Extension or Conversion to Full-Time
Pay Rate: 22/hour
Position Overview
Join a well-established utility organization as a Data Entry Clerk II supporting daily timekeeping operations and regulatory record management. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and takes pride in maintaining highly accurate records.
You'll be responsible for entering employee time into the company's timekeeping system, maintaining Department of Transportation (DOT) documentation, and supporting various administrative functions for the department. Success in this role requires excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter employee hours into the MyTime timekeeping system.
- Maintain and organize Department of Transportation (DOT) records and documentation.
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and retained according to established procedures.
- Review data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies when needed.
- Meet productivity and quality standards for data entry volume and accuracy.
- Assist with filing, record retention, and other administrative support tasks.
- Support supervisors with additional departmental assignments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding timekeeping and documentation questions.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College coursework or degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of data entry, administrative, or clerical experience.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and perform well in time-sensitive environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- Experience with electronic timekeeping systems (such as MyTime, Kronos, Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar) is highly preferred.
