Purpose

Provide technical and commercial support related to procurement activities, including supplier qualification, performance management, and purchasing. In this role, the Senior Buyer will ensure that RPT is partnering with top performing suppliers and materials are purchased and delivered on time.

Responsibilities: 

  • Source and purchase materials, equipment and services to support projects. 
  • Develop and issue RFQs, evaluate supplier bids and prepare commercial bid tabulations. 
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules while
  • Evaluates and analyzes purchasing trends and price trends to identify forecasting demand and minimize purchasing costs.
  • Input to support creation and estimation of Project AFE budgets, proposals, and schedules.
  • Preparing and communicating status reports for supplier qualifications, project deliverables, and other department initiatives.
  • Develop and lead supplier engagement activities, promoting supplier awareness of company brand, culture, services, competencies, experience, and forecasting.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors or suppliers and negotiate contracts for purchases.
  • Supplier performance measurement and oversight.
  • Purchases materials at the most favorable terms for the company by preparing Supplier Qualifications, Bid Lists, Requests for Quotation, Bid Evaluations, Purchase Recommendations, and Purchase Orders.
  • Facilitate technical or commercial clarifications, negotiate terms, coordinate source inspection, and track purchases with suppliers.
  • Ensure all changes to order cost and/or schedule are clearly communicated.
  • Work is highly independent.
