CPE Inc. is a leading provider of continuing education for accounting and financial professionals. We are seeking a detail-oriented SEO & Content Marketing Specialist to lead our organic search initiatives while creating compelling marketing content for our educational programs. 
This role combines SEO strategy, technical optimization, content creation, editorial management, and performance reporting. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable analyzing Google Search Console data, identifying technical SEO opportunities, optimizing website content, and writing high-quality marketing copy. Working closely with our marketing team, you'll help increase organic traffic, improve search rankings, enhance user experience, and drive qualified leads and enrollments.

Key Responsibilities
SEO

  • Own the day-to-day execution of the company's SEO initiatives.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Ahrefs.
  • Prepare SEO reports, highlighting trends, rankings, traffic, technical issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify new content opportunities.
  • Optimize existing website pages, landing pages, and blog content to improve rankings, engagement, and conversions.
  • Develop internal linking strategies to strengthen topical authority and improve user navigation.
  • Perform regular technical SEO audits, identifying crawl issues, broken links, redirect problems, duplicate content, indexing issues, Core Web Vitals concerns, and other technical improvements.
Content Marketing & Editorial

  • Write compelling course descriptions, blogs, and landing pages.
  • Research, write, and edit educational and thought leadership content related to accounting, tax, auditing, finance, and continuing professional education.
  • Collaborate with instructors and subject matter experts to develop and refine course content, including PowerPoint slide decks and supplemental materials.
  • Manage the receipt and archiving of incoming course materials; compare with prior versions to validate accuracy, completeness, and readiness for distribution.
  • Design and format educational materials for both digital and print publication, ensuring a professional and consistent presentation.
  • Coordinate with IT and technical team to ensure timely delivery and compatibility of materials for online platforms and webinars.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in SEO, content marketing, digital marketing, or editorial production.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail. 
  • Demonstrated success improving organic traffic and search rankings.
  • Understanding of technical SEO and on-page optimization best practices.
  • Experience using Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar SEO platforms.
  • Experience analyzing SEO performance and developing actionable recommendations from data.
