Job Title: Senior Lean Operational Transformation Lead (6-Month Contract)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Lean Operational Transformation Lead for a high-priority, 6-month site transformation engagement. You will serve as the primary architect and lead for the end-to-end implementation of a new workplace organization and standardization framework. This is not a "maintenance" role; you are here to design the system, drive the cultural shift, and-most importantly-build the capability of our internal team to sustain these improvements long after you have transitioned out.
This role requires a "shop-floor-oriented" leader who can facilitate high-energy Kaizen events while simultaneously coaching site leadership on how to integrate these standards into their daily management systems. If you have a proven track record of moving an operation from a "non-standard" state to a "high-maturity" state, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Roadmap & Execution
• System Design: Design and execute a site-wide transformation roadmap. You will be responsible for the full deployment of the five pillars of organization and standardization within a 6-month window.
• Kaizen Leadership: Lead cross-functional Kaizen events across manufacturing, warehouse, and support functions. Ensure every event delivers measurable improvements in safety, workflow efficiency, and visual control.
• Visual Management: Establish a "visual factory" culture by implementing practical, sustainable standards that make operational status clear at a glance.
Capability Transfer & Sustainability
• Mentorship: Identify and mentor a high-potential internal successor. Your primary goal is to "work yourself out of a job" by transferring all necessary knowledge, audit routines, and management tools to an internal team member.
• Coaching: Train supervisors and frontline operators on Lean principles. Coach site leadership on "Leader Standard Work" and how to use Gemba walks to drive accountability.
• Governance: Build the audit routines, scorecards, and escalation mechanisms that will prevent operational regression.
Change Management & Communication
• Cultural Alignment: Serve as the site-wide champion for continuous improvement. Use data-driven communication to keep site leadership informed of milestones, risks, and ROI.
• Sustainability: Identify systemic risks to the new standards and implement corrective actions to ensure the "new way of working" becomes the "only way of working."
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience Baseline: Proven experience leading large-scale 5S or Lean implementations in complex manufacturing/operational environments.
• Facilitation Mastery: Advanced skills in leading Kaizen events and facilitating diverse, cross-functional teams toward a common deadline.
• Operational Literacy: Working knowledge of Lean, visual management, and structured Operational Excellence frameworks.
• Hands-on Style: You are a shop-floor-oriented leader. This role requires presence, energy, and a willingness to get your hands dirty to prove the process works.

• Ability to operate with urgency in a change-intensive, fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in project management-you know how to build a 6-month timeline and hit milestones without missing a beat.
