Central Laboratory- General Laboratory
 
Location: 2434 Interstate Plaza Dr. Hammond, IN 46324
 
Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM;Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation
 
FTE: 1.0

We are one of the largest integrated laboratory networks serving hospitals in the Midwest region. Our network includes 32 hospitals and multiple physician offices.
 
WHAT WILL YOU DO
 
This individual is responsible for specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results. Testing performed will include waived, moderate and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director. He/she will report results of all tests performed according to established procedures. In addition this individual will participate fully in all quality control procedures and comply with quality assurance and quality management standards within the department as outlined by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies. He/she will perform specimen collection as necessary.

MLT
 
Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
 
MT
 
Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.
 
Or
 
Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences. At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.
