Description

Community Health Centers of America (CHCA) is seeking a motivated and patient-centered Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our growing Pulmonary Medicine program. This part-time position is based at our Gustine Specialty Clinic, working in close collaboration with our Pulmonologist to deliver high-quality respiratory care to our Central Valley community.

As CHCA expands its specialty services to Turlock, this role is expected to grow in hours and scope - making it an excellent opportunity for an RT who is eager to build a long-term career within a mission-driven community health organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pulmonary function testing (PFTs) and assist with interpretation support
  • Provide individualized inhaler technique education and device training for patient
  • Administer and manage Home Sleep Study (HST) kits, including patient instruction, device dispensing, and return/data upload
  • Support CPAP adherence monitoring, troubleshooting, and patient coaching in the clinic setting
  • Collaborate with the Pulmonologist and care team on respiratory care planning
  • Document clinical activities accurately in eClinicalWorks (ECW) EHR

Qualifications

  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
  • Experience with pulmonary function testing (spirometry, DLCO) required
  • Experience or willingness to train in sleep medicine (HST, CPAP) strongly preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Commitment to serving underserved and agricultural/farmworker communities
