Job description

Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapist position available in Gainesville, FL. This is a full time permanent role with a sign on bonus up to $15k. Shift timing includes nights and evenings with rotating weekends.

Position Summary:

  • Knowledge of patient responses, side effects and proper dosages of medications used in respiratory care. Able to communicate effectively with Physicians, patients, managers and the publics. Ability to teach/instruct, assess and reassess others. Able to recognize and report abuse and neglect in patients. Knowledge of generally accepted practices in respiratory care as prescribed by the physician. Delivers, set-up, and maintains routine and non-routine therapies and equipment (i.e., oxygen, aerosol therapy, ventilators) utilized by Respiratory Therapy. Ability to perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases

Requirements:

  • 1yr min of RRT exp required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, Critical care unit) * Would consider those with home care and/or long term care experience * Would Also consider CRT experience
  • FL State Respiratory License
  • NBRC โ€“ RRT/CRT
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support(BLS)
  • ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • PALS - Pediatric Advs. Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
