Responsibilities:
  • Provide skilled electrical maintenance support to all areas of Production and Facilities.
  • Maintain, test, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components, including but not limited to PLCs, PCs, Power Distribution, Drives, and Test Equipment
  • Troubleshoot to determine equipment malfunctions and apply instrumentation skills to restore and repair to operation
  • Install, start up, shut down, and maintain equipment in accordance with US and Freudenberg safety procedures and standards
  • Advise and assist Production Operators and Line Mechanics of safe electrical operations
  • Communicate potential problems and/or inherent dangers to appropriate supervisors, managers, or team leaders
  • Maintain Company-required performance and maintenance records
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed and advise in further development of practices and procedures
  • Supervise and/or assist contract personnel as assigned
  • Maintain high standards for workmanship and housekeeping before, during, and after work
  • Work schedule, Monday through Friday from 10pm to 6am.
  • Participate in scheduled Weekly On-Call duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment, prior experience in Extrusion or Plastics Processing is a plus
  • Two-year technical degree in Industrial Electricity, Electronics, or related field is preferred
  • Certificate in PLC, Electricity, Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Pneumatics or Industrial Maintenance is desired. CCST (Certified Control System Technician) Level I or ability to obtain
  • PLC, HMI, and AC drive experience required. PLC knowledge of GE, Allen Bradley, or similar. Siemens is preferred. Able to demonstrate proficiency in PLC Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, and Statement List
  • Ability to program and trouble shoot PLC/HMI Systems. Small project and large project startup support
  • Understanding of Profibus, Profinet, Remote I/O communication, Serial communication, and Ethernet communication
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, test, and repair electrical equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, PC controls, power distribution, drives, and test equipment
  • Electrical license or ability to obtain
  • Good command of basic math, reading, and writing is required
  • Good communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Must interact well with all levels of personnel both internally and externally
  • Ability to work overtime or non-regular hours as needed. Must be able to work various shifts and be on-call rotation
  • Excellent sense of safety awareness and good housekeeping
  • Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck and Arial Lift Equipment certification
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Ability to sit, stand for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to walk, jump, twist, turn, stop, bend, push, pull, squat, crawl, kneel, climb, balance, drive, reach above shoulder, repetitive hand/wrist movement, forearm rotation.
  • Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment
