Position Overview:
TEAM is seeking qualified and safety-focused Rope Access Inspectors to support field operations with a focus on non-destructive examination (NDE), API inspections, or advanced inspection techniques in elevated, confined, or otherwise difficult-to-access areas. The ideal candidate is dual-certified in rope access (SPRAT or IRATA) and inspection methods and thrives in dynamic environments where technical precision and safe access are equally critical. This role works closely with site leads, engineers, and mechanical integrity teams to support inspections at height or in restricted locations-delivering code-compliant inspection results while upholding TEAM's core safety values.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections at height using rope access techniques in accordance with SPRAT or IRATA certification standards.
• Conduct NDT and/or API inspections on pressure vessels, piping, tanks, or structural components based on certifications held.
• Assist with installation of access systems, job rig-ups, and hazard assessments at client sites.
• Accurately document findings using digital tools, inspection forms, and standardized reporting formats.
• Interface with engineers, planners, and client representatives to clarify inspection scope and communicate results.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant procedures, codes, and safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, site-specific).
• Participate in toolbox talks, pre-job planning, and safety audits as required.
• Maintain all rope access and inspection gear in safe, working order and track certifications.
• Assist in equipment transfers, mobilizations, and worksite setup/teardown for access operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Multiple NDT Level II certifications or ASNT/PCN/CGSB equivalencies.
• API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP or other advanced certifications.
• Radiation Safety Training / IRRSP or State Industrial Radiographer Card (if applicable to RT).
• Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software.
• Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
• Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
• Previous experience supporting mechanical integrity or turnaround inspection programs.
• Rigging certification, confined space training, or fall protection awareness credentials.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and comfort working in fast-paced team environments.
Required Qualifications:
• SPRAT or IRATA Certification (Level I or II depending on role scope).
• 1-3 years of experience performing inspections in refining, petrochemical, or energy environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, inspection terminology, and field safety practices.
• Physically capable of performing rope access duties, including climbing, rigging, and extended work at height.
• Ability to travel regionally or nationally for projects.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, TWIC, DISA, and site-specific onboarding.
• Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.

Work Conditions
• Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.
• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.
• Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
• Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
• Able to wear safety equipment for any task and as required by the safety department for personal protection.
• May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.
• May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
• Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
