Job description

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a leading Company located in the Richmond, CA surrounding area.

Pay Rate: $30-$35

We are seeking a mid-level Facilities Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and critical maintenance activities. This role is best suited for a hands-on, mechanically inclined technician who can troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and support light construction and facility improvements. The ideal candidate is reliable, adaptable, and able to quickly learn site processes while maintaining a high standard of safety and execution.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance across facility systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and basic equipment issues
  • Support light construction, fabrication, and assembly tasks
  • Execute routine inspections, checklists, and SOPs to maintain compliance
  • Respond to maintenance requests and urgent facility needs
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for services and repairs
  • Support waste handling, material staging, and basic environmental compliance tasks
  • Maintain work logs, parts tracking, and maintenance documentation
  • Assist with small projects, installations, and continuous improvement efforts

Basic Hiring Criteria:
  • 4-6 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or construction-related work
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on repair ability
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems safely
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
