Contract Rn Nursing and Travel Rn Nursing both require RN licensure and similar certifications, and they often work in hospitals or clinics. The main difference is that Contract Rn Nursing typically involves longer-term contracts directly with healthcare facilities, while Travel Rn Nursing involves short-term assignments through staffing agencies, offering more flexibility and travel opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a contract RN nurse, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Contract RN Nurse, you need a valid RN license, strong clinical skills, and experience in various healthcare settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and current certifications such as BLS or ACLS are often required. Adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to quickly integrate into new teams distinguish top performers in contract nursing roles. These skills ensure seamless patient care and allow for immediate and effective contributions in diverse and fast-changing medical environments.

What is a contract RN nurse?

Contract RN nurses are registered nurses who work on a temporary basis for hospitals, clinics, or other healthcare facilities. Instead of being permanent staff, they are hired through agencies or directly by healthcare organizations for a set period, often to fill staffing gaps or cover for leaves of absence. These contracts can range from a few weeks to several months and may offer higher pay rates and flexible schedules compared to permanent positions. Contract RN nurses perform the same duties as regular staff nurses, including patient care, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams.

What are some common challenges faced by contract RN nurses, and how can they be addressed?

Contract RN nurses often face challenges such as quickly adapting to new healthcare settings, learning different electronic health record systems, and building rapport with new teams. To address these, it's helpful to be proactive in seeking orientation, asking questions, and staying organized. Strong communication skills and a flexible mindset are key to integrating smoothly into each assignment. Additionally, networking with other contract nurses can provide valuable insights and support.

Registered Nurse Career Opportunity

Now Hiring! Short-Term Contract and Full-Time Employees!

We are currently seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to fill both 8-week short-term contract roles (night only) and full-time positions.

Short-Term Contract Roles:
As a Short-Term Contract RN, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of a temporary assignment. Whether you're seeking temporary work to accommodate personal commitments, explore different healthcare settings, or gain diverse experience, we have flexible 8-week contract positions available.

Full-Time Employment Opportunities:
For those ready to commit to a long-term career with us, we offer full-time employment opportunities that provide stability, comprehensive benefits, and room for career advancement. While short-term nursing offers flexibility and diverse experiences, we also recognize the value of long-term commitment and stability. That's why we're dedicated to providing a clear pathway for our short-term nurses to transition into full-time roles within our organization. As a Full-Time RN, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making a lasting difference in the lives of patients and communities we serve.

Experience nursing as it was meant to be.

We're looking for Registered Nurses who are inspired by the prospect of caregiving the way it should be. Here, you'll have time to build relationships and enjoy the rewards of helping people getting back to their lives again. Experience the difference of nursing in a rehab hospital with the latest technology at your fingertips and a wide range of opportunities among kindred spirits. Count on having a flexible schedule that we build together so you can live your best life. Yes, we do that, too.

A little about us: We're a Nurse first organization and we think that's special. Whether you're building a foundation in your early career or you're a seasoned nurse looking for a better environment to call home, we're confident you'll see the difference the moment you join. We're not your ordinary rehab hospital either. Being recently named one of the "World's Most Admired Companies" and a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For Award, among others, is pretty amazing.   Our benefits start on day one:

  •  Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans for full and part-time employees and their families.
  •  Generous paid time off that accrues over time.
  •  Tuition reimbursement and continuing education opportunities.
  •  Company-matching 401(k) and employee stock purchase plans.
  •  Flexible spending and health savings accounts.
  • A community of people who love what they do. Yes, we see that as a benefit.

Be the kind of Nurse you've always wanted to be:

  •  Help patients through supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
  •  Have the time to learn about each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to help them recover.
  •  Build rewarding relationships with patients during stays that start at two weeks.
  • Open access to opportunity to learn, grow, advance, and build skills that last a lifetime.

  Certifications and Licensures:

  •  Current RN licensures appropriate to state regulations required.
  •  CPR certification required (ACLS preferred).
  •  CRRN certification preferred (If you don't have it, we can assist you to obtain it!)
  •  One or more years of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting is preferred.
