Job description

Position Summary

SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Responsible for hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment. Perform tasks that include installing, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, cleaning, greasing and replacing equipment, parts and supplies. Maintain the Shop and tools, work orders, logs and inventories. Report to the Manager of the HVAC Shop.

Qualifications

Required Education:High School DiplomaPreferred Education:Some college education in engineering and/or a completion certificate from a recognized trade school preferred.Required Experience:Must have New York City Refrigeration Engineer's License and EPA-CFC Universal certification. 3 years' mechanical maintenance experience with absorption and freon A/C equipment required.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge and skills in electric, plumbing systems, refrigeration cycle, common parts and pneumatic/electrical/electronic control systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and nameplates. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be flexible with work hours.
