We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Qualifying Questions:

  • Are you a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance?

Summary: 

  • Designs major components, major portions of functional systems, or technically advanced prototypes for products.

  • Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations through design activities.

  • Develops basic data and makes preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes to present design proposals.

  • Investigates design factors including ease of manufacture, material availability, equipment, interchangeability, replaceability, strength-weight efficiency, contractual specs, and cost.

  • Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development for integration.

  • Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures, and products.

  • Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

  • Identifies design errors, omissions, and deficiencies and recommends revisions or improvements in design layout.

  • Uses Creo for 3D modeling and design creation.

  • Applies Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and knowledge of complex mechanical or electrical concepts.

Requirements:

  • Active Interim Secret clearance is required to start.

  • At least 3 years of experience with Creo design.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Windchill PLM or PDM.

  • At least 1 year of experience with concept development.

  • At least 1 year of experience with design review content preparation.

  • At least 4 years of experience creating finished 3D models.

  • At least 2 years of experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • At least 2 years of experience with complex mechanical or electrical concepts.

  • Experience with mechanical primary and secondary structures.

  • Desired: Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD).
