Job description

One Federal Solution is seeking a Contract Specialist III to support a Government Client with Federal acquisition and contract administration activities. The selected individual will support cradle-to-grave procurement actions, contract administration, solicitation review, market research, and acquisition support functions in accordance with Federal acquisition regulations and agency requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), excellent organizational skills, and experience supporting complex Government contracting activities.

Contract Specialist III Task and Duties:
  • Assist Government Contracting Officers with large and small purchase contract actions throughout the acquisition lifecycle
  • Support cradle-to-grave acquisition activities including pre-award and post-award contract administration
  • Prepare for award and assist with administration of various contracts and task orders
  • Review Statements of Work (SOWs) for completeness and accuracy
  • Review solicitation packages for completeness and compliance
  • Prepare Determinations and Findings in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Review funding documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Advise and provide program offices with examples of documents required for solicitation packages
  • Coordinate with program offices to resolve acquisition and procurement-related issues
  • Input contracts, task orders, and purchase orders into the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
  • Conduct market research and prepare supporting market research documentation
  • Prepare and disseminate Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Input and organize market research data into spreadsheets and tracking tools
  • Assist with pre-award and post-award conferences
  • Research and provide statistical procurement data to Contracting Officers
  • Input procurement data into the Federal Procurement Data System - Next Generation (FPDS-NG)
  • Prepare acquisition-related correspondence, reports, and procurement documentation
  • Maintain organized contract files, procurement records, and acquisition documentation
  • Support compliance with Federal acquisition regulations, policies, and procedures
Contract Specialist III Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 24 credit hours in business-related coursework such as accounting, finance, business administration, economics, purchasing, contracts, or management
  • At least eight (8) years of related experience supporting Federal Government contracting, procurement, acquisition, or contract administration activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal acquisition processes and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically FAR Parts 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15
  • Experience supporting cradle-to-grave acquisition activities
  • Experience preparing or reviewing procurement documentation, solicitation packages, market research, and acquisition support documentation
  • Experience supporting pre-award and post-award contract administration activities
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and operational requirements
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation
Compensation

Compensation for this position is expected to fall within the range of $50.00 - $56.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the position requirements.
