Overview

The Contracts Specialist will exercise independent judgment in managing assigned contracts, submitting RFP/RFQs, and in GCE's relationship with contracting offices. The position will perform cradle-to-grave contracting activities and be a point-of-contact between GCE and its customers. The Contracts Specialist will utilize and grow their knowledge of FAR and DFAR clauses to interpret requirements for compliance. This individual will work with senior leadership to successfully manage all contract materials and decision records.

Role Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a minimum of four (4) years of experience in contract administration, two (2) of which were in the area of federal contracting.
  • Must have familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) & Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) Supplement.
  • Must have knowledge of federal contracting processes.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Must be proficient in managing multiple tasks, planning, and coordinating communication between multiple staff internal & external to the organization.
  • Must be proficient with written and verbal communication.
  • Unison Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) experience is preferred.
