We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Dental Insurance Verification Specialist to join our remote team. This role is responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility to ensure accurate billing and smooth patient coordination. The ideal candidate has strong experience in dental insurance processes, excellent communication skills, and a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient dental insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to appointments
  • Review and document plan details including deductibles, maximums, waiting periods, frequencies, and limitations
  • Confirm coverage for procedures such as preventive, basic, and major services
  • Communicate insurance benefits clearly to patients and internal staff
  • Coordinate with dental offices and insurance companies via phone, portals, and email
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve insurance-related issues proactively
  • Ensure accurate entry of insurance information into practice management systems
  • Assist with pre-authorizations and breakdown of benefits as needed
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards
  • Support billing and front office teams with insurance-related inquiries
Qualifications
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in dental insurance verification or dental billing
