Job description

Position: Licensed Customer Service Representative 

Pay Rate: $24.30/HR, Paid Weekly

Assignment: 9/8/2026 – March/April 2027

Location: 100% Remote (Candidates may reside in any U.S. time zone but must be able to accommodate the required Central Time schedule.)

  • Training: Monday – Friday7:45 AM – 4:30 PM CST
  • Full attendance throughout training is strongly expected.
  • No planned time off is strongly recommended.
  • Schedule after training will be 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST.
  • Possible overtime may be available based on business needs and Open Enrollment call volume.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will be a reliable, customer-focused licensed professional who enjoys helping people understand their benefits, communicates clearly, can confidently handle challenging calls, and is comfortable navigating multiple systems in a fast-paced remote environment.

Previous experience with Salesforce, Five9, CRM platforms, benefits systems, or similar technology is helpful but not required.

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Licensed Customer Service Representatives to support customers with questions regarding employee benefits, enrollment, and voluntary benefit programs.

This is a customer service-focused position with no sales responsibilities. Representatives will primarily handle inbound calls, assist customers with understanding their available benefits, research questions, and provide accurate information using internal benefit databases and systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, active insurance licenses in California and Florida, and the ability to remain professional and helpful while handling a variety of customer inquiries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle approximately 25–30 primarily inbound customer calls per day.
  • Assist customers with benefits enrollment and benefit-related questions.
  • Explain voluntary benefit information clearly and professionally.
  • Research customer questions using internal databases and resources.
  • Complete occasional outbound follow-up when additional research is required.
  • Accurately document customer interactions.
  • Navigate multiple applications while actively assisting customers.
  • Provide professional and empathetic service to customers, including those with complex questions or concerns.
  • Maintain dependable attendance throughout training, Open Enrollment, and production.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active California insurance license – REQUIRED
  • Active Florida insurance license – REQUIRED

  • Comfortable working in a phone-based customer service environment.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to commit to the required training and production schedules.
  • No specific education requirement.

 

Additional Licensing Requirements:

Candidates must already hold active California and Florida licenses to be considered for an interview.

If hired, employees will also be required to obtain licenses in:

  • Michigan
  • New York
  • Indiana

PLUS at least three of the following states:

  • New Jersey
  • Massachusetts
  • Ohio
  • Connecticut
  • Maryland
  • Pennsylvania
  • Virginia

 

Remote Work Requirements

  • Reliable home internet with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps
  • Ability to establish a hardwired internet connection
  • Wi-Fi alone will not meet the connectivity requirement.
  • Appropriate workspace for handling customer calls
  • Company equipment will be provided.

Attendance & Time-Off Expectations

This assignment coincides with Open Enrollment and the holiday season, making consistent attendance especially important.

  • Employees will follow the normal company contact center holiday schedule, including scheduled company holidays.
