Key Responsibilities
  • Under immediate to general supervision, delivers specialized MRI and radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patient populations to aid in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of simple to complex conditions.
  • Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered procedures.
  • Utilizes specialized radiologic equipment and techniques to perform a diverse range of diagnostic procedures in accordance with established scope of practice guidelines.
  • Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to achieve desired clinical outcomes and service expectations.
  • Conducts post-procedure review to confirm all required elements are completed, documented, and that technical quality meets department protocols and applicable accreditation standards.
  • Performs operator-level quality control checks, equipment cleaning, high-level disinfection, and user maintenance per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program with emphasis in a cardiovascular specialty, OR graduate of a JRCERT accredited program with emphasis in radiologic technology.
  • Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification; certification must be achieved within 12 months of hire date.
  • Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, and radiologic technologies and terminology associated with the MRI specialty.
  • Ability to apply entry-level radiologic technology principles including patient positioning, medical imaging, medical terminology, and medical ethics.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and consistently report to work as scheduled.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate strong attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
