ATANE Engineers, P.C. is seeking motivated and qualified Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) to support our growing portfolio of infrastructure, bridge, and structural steel fabrication projects. This is a nationwide opportunity for inspectors who are detail-oriented, self-driven, and committed to quality assurance in complex fabrication environments

Candidates must be open to travel and flexible work schedules, including night shifts and weekends as required. Responsibilities: Perform structural steel welding inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project specifications Verify compliance with approved welding procedures and inspector documentation Monitor fabrication shop activities and ensure alignment with contract documents and industry standards Prepare clear, accurate daily inspection reports and maintain organized documentation Communicate findings and recommendations to the ATANE project team and clients Collaborate with project managers and quality assurance staff to meet deliverables and schedulesQualifications: Education & Certifications: High School Diploma or GED - Required Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) - Required AMPP (formerly NACE) certification - Preferred Experience: Structural steel or bridge fabrication inspection - Preferred Skills & Requirements: Strong written and verbal communication skills Sound judgment and decision-making ability Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital reporting platforms Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to travel frequently and work in variable conditions, including fabrication shops and outdoor sites Ability to lift 25+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated positions Additional Attributes: High attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and documentation skills Team-oriented, dependable, and flexible Able to work independently with minimal supervision Committed to safety, quality, and professionalism in the field Compensation: Hourly Rate: $35-$50/hour, commensurate with experience and certifications Comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates ATANE Engineers, P.C. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
