Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds 9 (can use overflow space to accommodate 15)
  • Number of Staff 18 total RN's on staff
  • Type of staff: RN only
    • Day Shift typical shift requires 3-4 RN
    • Night Shift - typical shift requires 3-4 RN
  • Patient Ratios 1:2 or 1:3 (occasionally 1:1 for high acuity patients waiting for transport)
  • Type of equipment Respiratory support (SiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, LFNC); Feeding Pumps; IV support (UVC and PIV)
  • EMR Meditech
  • Permanent Positions on Unit Avaliable? (Y/N)

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • NICU experience

Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • Delivery Experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

  • Assist NNP with complex procedures (Surfactant, UVC placement, Lumbar Puncture, Needle Aspiration of Pneumothorax, Circumcision)
  • Full admission of new patients to NICU including IV starts and lab draws.
