Description
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation and evaluation. The RN is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering the patient care. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the policies and procedures of nursing to meet the health care needs of the patients and their families. Provide age specific care as planning made up of geriatric patients. Provide patient and family education and discharge planning. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcome. A positive attitude and good communication skills will be required. Maintain good working relationship among staff, co-workers and customers. Perform other nursing duties as required.
Requirements
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Licenses: Current AL State Nursing License; BLS & ACLS
Other: At least one year of hospital nursing and geriatric psych experience is preferred. Computer skills are a must. Good leadership skills, critical thinking skills and good communication skills are required.
