Job description

AGL is looking for an experienced Property Support Assistant to join the MLSS II team onsite at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.
The Property Support Assistant provides accountable property support to MSFC property custodians under the direction and guidance of the contract's Property Services Manager. This position interfaces with customers and users across MSFC, and collaborates with contract operations, quality, and property staff.
Responsibilities
  • The Property Support Assistant provides accountable property support to MSFC property custodians.
  • Assists in ensuring property records database is current and accurate, and supports and documents property management activities such as accesssions, transfers, and disposals.
  • Process documentation, control, ship, inventory, receive, and dispose of property
    Perform close liaison with administrative and technical personnel to offer optimum support.
  • Operate Government Property Management System applications for property control.
  • Tag and sort materials for disposal and perform necessary expediting
  • Assign and maintain files for accountable document control numbers
    Maintain surveillance over assigned equipment and coordinate data input by PSA Equipment Controller.
  • Perform inventories as required.
  • Process documentation to modify, cannibalize, survey, or found-on-station assigned equipment.
  • Process documentation and approvals on loan status throughout MSFC.
  • Oversee the administration of equipment loans and property passes.
  • Process a monthly "Lease/Loan-In Expiration Report" from the Business Objects database.
  • Validate the existence of equipment prior to the departure of an End User.
  • Transfer accountability and responsibility of the equipment to replacing personnel, report as excess, or retain accountability and responsibility for the equipment by self-assignment as End User of the equipment in the NASA PP&E System.
  • Request the addition of new users to the Government Property Management System database as required.
  • Expedite transactions to ensure timely closure.
  • Escort Organizational Property Managers during walk-through inspections
    Review, process and submit for approval, documentation supporting incoming property.
  • Receive unprocessed documentation; determine proper transaction coding and process in the Government Property Management System database
    Review archive records for audit purposes.
  • Perform field research.
  • Perform hand carries of documentation.
  • Interface with Customer personnel in a professional and courteous manner and provide technical advice and assistance.
  • Interface with Company supervisory and customer personnel on a regular basis and respond to all verbal and written requests.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and 5 years of experience or 7 years of equivalent experience without a degree
  • Must be a US Citizen or legal resident alien status; and satisfy federal government background investigation for access to information systems and facilities; having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement
  • Must pass a background investigation and be granted access/clearance to Marshall Space Flight Center
  • REAL ID and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to operate company vehicles
