Job Description

Turner & Townsendย isย seeking an ambitiousย Project Controlsย Managerto join our growing team. The ideal candidate is an ambitious construction professional with experienceย supporting project controls costย and scheduleย onย large construction projects or programs.ย ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Progress each project every month to ensure all projects areย monitoredย for project controls in line with the monthly reporting cycle, checking accuracy and consistency of data.ย 
  • Reportย milestones ofย planned value and earned value data, % complete on projects and provide project commentaries.ย 
  • Attendย project status meetings report on major materialย status;ย updateย forecast and schedule per progress discussion.ย 
  • Summarize project performance metrics and provide specialized direction andย recommendationsย to project teams and management for the resolution of diverse project controls issues.ย 
  • Develop,ย monitorย and updateย owners ofย Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).ย 
  • Interface with project stakeholders as a trusted advisor to provide guidance and recommendations for the project.ย 
  • Actively work with project managers and construction firms toย maintainย schedule integrity.ย 
  • Track and review change orders with project management and cost management team.ย 
  • Produce monthly reports for management.ย 
  • Contract Administration (retention, T&Cs, insurance, allowances, contingency, incentives).ย 
  • Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.ย 
  • Conductย schedule forย resource loading and leveling.ย 
  • Consolidateย contractors schedule to incorporate into IMS.ย 
  • Assess impactsย onย the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.ย 
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances andย assistย in theย developmentย of alternative methods for corrective action.ย 
  • Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure thatย accurateย andย timelyย data is incorporatedย inย the schedule.ย 
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions and quantitative risk assessments whenย required.ย 
  • Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect performance.ย 
  • Maintain liaison withย clientsย and other consultants at allย projectsย stages.ย 
  • Implement best practices and reporting trends both internally and externally.ย 
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes, valueย managementย and value engineering.ย 
  • Advanced skills with spreadsheets, reportย writingย and presentations.ย 
  • Highย proficiencyย in Microsoft Office and Google Suite of applications.ย 
  • Experience with cloud-based software.ย 
  • P6 scheduling knowledge preferred.ย 
  • Skilled in the use of industry accepted applications for cost,ย planningย and progress measurement.ย 
  • Self-Motivated and proactive.ย 
  • Demonstratesย a high levelย of self-organization,ย coordinationย and planning.ย 
  • Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, be a team player and integrate easily with others.ย 
  • Must have strong and professional English oral and written communication skills.ย 
  • Full passport with no geographical limitation.ย 

ย Education/Experience:ย 

  • Experience working in a cost focused construction projectย controlsย role.ย 
  • Experience working onย large sized, complex construction projects.ย 
  • College degree; ideally in construction, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related.ย 
  • Experience with cost loaded schedules.ย 
  • Requires a detailed knowledge of industry standards and methods.ย 
  • Strong background in project controls, specifically with expertise in cost management and scheduling preferred.
Additional Information

The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$165K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.ย
