This position is part of the Operations, Supply Chain & Quality (OSQ) Finance team within the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) division, supporting the PATRIOT GEM-T Team.  PATRIOT Missile Team. PATRIOT Missile supports a portfolio of various contract types, customers, and deliverables.

The successful candidate will serve as a Principal Program Cost Controls Analyst (P3), leading financial planning, analysis, and execution for the program while managing and developing a team of analysts. This role will be responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements, and providing strategic insight to program and functional leadership. The candidate will play a critical role in shaping program financial strategy, influencing decision-making, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.

What You Will Do

  • Perform detailed financial analysis for both total program and product level cost elements to help define and understand monthly and quarterly variances from budget and EAC positions

  • Maintain accurate records for Budget and EAC tracking to ensure adequate funding is available using Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

  • Support the preparation of cost estimates for new business proposals and assist Estimating and Program Analysts in developing rationale for basis of estimates.

  • Risk and opportunity valuation and impact on contract profitability Support material forecast, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Long Range Plan (LRP).  

  • Ensure alignment in assumptions between Program Office, FP&A Finance, OSQ Function, and Factory (FOMs) to drive performance.

  • Develop analysis to support OSQ Monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & monthly reviews (PER/MBR/S&OP/S&OE)

  • Ad-hoc requests

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

  • Experienced user of SAP (APEX and/or Prism), RTN PMX, or similar system

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Tool Suite, particularly with Excel

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, willing to take on challenges

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Operations finance or factory/manufacturing finance experience

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial information in support of business portfolio

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
