A Contract Production Designer is a creative professional hired on a temporary or project basis to handle the visual design and layout of materials such as advertisements, websites, packaging, or publications. They work with existing brand guidelines to create visually appealing and consistent final products. Unlike full-time staff, contract production designers are typically brought in to manage workload peaks or specific projects. Their tasks often include preparing files for print or digital use, making revisions, and collaborating with other creative team members. This role is common in advertising agencies, media companies, and marketing departments.

To thrive as a Contract Production Designer, you need strong graphic design skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of branding and layout principles, typically supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Proficiency with design software like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and familiarity with project management tools are essential. Excellent communication, time management, and adaptability help professionals collaborate effectively and meet tight deadlines. Job description

A well-established events SaaS company is expanding into Raleigh, NC and looking to hire a Senior Product Designer to work closely with the CTO on the next evolution of their platform.

Their existing web application supports thousands of venues and event planners, helping them manage bookings, contracts, payments, client relationships, and day-to-day operations. With a strong customer base, proven product-market fit, and a profitable business, they are now investing in a new AI-native product experience built for the future of the industry.

This is an early and highly influential hire offering the opportunity to shape the direction of a next-generation platform from the ground up.

In this role, you’ll lead discovery and design initiatives that directly influence product strategy and design systems. That includes conducting customer research, analyzing competitors, and identifying best practices across emerging AI-driven products in adjacent markets. You’ll turn those insights into intuitive user experiences, workflows, build wireframes, prototypes and working with Figma.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or related roles, with a strong focus on SaaS products
  • Proven experience designing AI-powered or AI-native product experiences, including workflows that incorporate automation, recommendations, copilots, or generative AI features
  • Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design work across complex web applications and data-rich platforms
  • Experience leading user research, usability testing, customer interviews, and translating insights into product decisions
  • Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, user flows, and systems thinking
  • Ability to design scalable experiences within complex product ecosystems and multi-step workflows
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Framer, or similar platforms
  • Experience building and contributing to design systems and component libraries
  • Strong collaboration skills with Product Managers, Engineers, and executive stakeholders in fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable working closely with engineering teams on implementation details, technical constraints, and product tradeoffs
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts, LLM-driven experiences, prompt-based interactions, and human-in-the-loop workflows
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into intuitive and user-friendly experiences
  • Experience working in startup or high-growth environments with a bias toward ownership and execution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and influence product direction
  • Passion for emerging AI trends, user-centered design, and building products that solve real operational problems
