Job description

Vibrint transforms national security missions through advanced technology, data, and responsible intelligence solutions. By joining this particular High Performance Computing (HPC) prime contract, you'll help maintain and advance the computing infrastructure that powers unprecedented mission-critical analysis, scientific discovery, and scalable national security outcomes.
As a Senior Linux System Administrator on this program, you will help deliver enhanced HPC capabilities across multi-vendor HPC servers, HPC clusters, and specialized processing environments. You'll have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise alongside highly skilled engineers, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and directly contribute to missions that strengthen our nation's security. You'll also end your day knowing that you're doing work that truly matters.
Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.
Required Skills:
Ability to:
  • Skilled with Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu): configure and manage Linux and Unix operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  • Understanding of HPC architecture: knowledge of high-speed networks such as InfiniBand and Slingshot
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Salt, and Ansible
  • OS Install, file system configuration, TCP/IP networking
  • BASH scripting, software compilation, and install.
  • Superior IT trouble shooting skills: analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of system administration experience or fifteen (15) years' experience in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II level certification
