What is a contract process server?

Contract process servers are professionals hired, often on a contractual or freelance basis, to deliver legal documents such as subpoenas, summonses, and complaints to individuals involved in court proceedings. Their main responsibility is to ensure that recipients are properly notified according to legal requirements. Contract process servers work independently or for agencies and must follow specific laws and guidelines related to service of process.
