Job description

Pharmacy Floor Technician (Part-Time)About the Role

As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will help prepare prescription medications for final review by a pharmacist. This role involves picking, labeling, scanning, and packaging medications while following pharmacy procedures and safety standards. Attention to detail and accuracy are important in this fast-paced environment.

Schedule

Part-Time: 20-28 hours per week

  • Weekends: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Some Evening Shifts: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Responsibilities
  • Fill prescription orders accurately under pharmacist supervision.
  • Pick medications from shelves and storage areas.
  • Label, scan, and package medications for pharmacist review.
  • Process returned medications according to pharmacy procedures.
  • Pre-pack and label commonly used medications.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Report any medication or scanning issues to the pharmacist.
  • Follow HIPAA and other pharmacy regulations.
  • Follow safety, attendance, and dress code requirements.
  • Assist with other pharmacy duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License in good standing.
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to handle small medication packages and read medication labels.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in a pharmacy setting.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
