Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is in a role providing both patient care and education to direct patients. This is a PRN RN position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.
  • Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying/correcting/reporting health and safety hazards.
  • Evaluate patient's response to plan of care and work in collaboration with interprofessional team to make any needed adjustments.
  • Responsibility and accountability for effectively managing nursing care of individual patients.
  • Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.
  • Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
  • Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.
  • Uses knowledge and judgement needed to meet the nursing needs of patient.
  • Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation within electronic medical records.
  • Assist with medication management.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
  • Working knowledge of how a medical office runs.
  • At least one year of experience working in the medical field would be preferred but not required.
  • BLS or CPR required.

This job operates in an inpatient facility environment at an OVP Health location that is open 24/7.
